Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): 

A developmental disorder that affects how a person behaves, interacts with others, communicates, and learns. It is considered a spectrum because individuals with ASD can have a wide range of symptoms and abilities. Some may have significant intellectual disabilities, while others may have average or above-average intelligence. Common characteristics of ASD can include difficulties with social communication, repetitive behaviors, and restricted interests.

Oral-Motor Delays: 

A delay or difficulty in the development of the motor skills necessary to control the muscles of the mouth, lips, tongue, and jaw. These skills are essential for activities like speaking, eating, and swallowing. When children have oral-motor delays, they may struggle with tasks such as pronouncing sounds correctly, chewing food, or coordinating the muscles needed for clear speech.
